Dining

Our dining room, with waitress service, can seat a comfortable 35. Whether you are a large group or dining a deux, park-up, sit down and take up your napkin. We serve food every evening with the exception of Monday evening when supper is provided for residents only. Please note that we are closed for lunch from Monday to Wednesday.

We love to cook with freshly prepared, locally sourced produce and seasonal ingredients - from plump local  trout to game, lamb and tender steaks. Like fish and chips? We use our neighbourhood ales for the lightest beer batter to coat fresh cod. Our hand-cut chips are thrice-cooked (for the crispiest wedges with the fluffiest insides). With this attention it's no wonder that The Independent  reviewed our fish and chips as being 'one of the best fish and chips I have ever eaten!' .

Sue takes her puddings seriously - making utterly delicious cheesecakes and tarts. We can't take credit for the ice-cream though - that goes to Rachel's and Marshfields Dairy (those beautiful Jersey cows at the top of the valley). 

Want some cheese to finish? We can get really Welsh alongside a classic selection.

Please book in advance so you are not disappointed. Whilst you do that let us know if you have any special dietary needs or perhaps an a la carte requests to make your occasion a special experience. - we're happy to chat things through or send on additional sample menus. 

Wheelchair users will be pleased to know that the bar, restaurant and toilets are on one level, but please book assistance if you need extra help from your car.

Children are welcome. Free parking for guests. Dogs, with the exception of registered assistance dogs, are restricted to our cosy bar (where you are also welcome to dine with the same menu).
